Maria Valtorta (Itália, ano 1897-1961) - Obra: "Notebooks 1944"[Maria Valtorta says:] I think that this year I missed the general absolutions and blessings, both Franciscan and Servite, corresponding to the Nativity of Mary Most Holy the Sorrowful and the Stigmata of Saint Francis, and this pains me greatly.
And behold, Jesus said to me:
[Jesus says:] «Does everything that flows from Me to you have no power of absolution and blessing? From my lips, from my heart, from my hands, the Cross flows and falls upon you like a shower of grace! Word and love. Oh, my violet, you are all watered by this word and this love.
I give you my charity/love. I have already said that the greatest indulgence is charity/love, which covers all sins and is for all Christians. But they must make a continuous act of faith and continuous charity to believe in the possibility of enjoying this indulgence and meriting it. But for you it is not so! You have before you your Lord who loves you, you hear his word, which gives you the assurance of his love. You need do no more than be before your beloved, to be sure that the total indulgence descends upon you every minute and purifies you.
For those who receive me like this, loving me is very easy, isn't it? So what are you complaining about?
[But] I want you to humbly follow the common path and turn to my ministers to obtain those indulgences and absolutions that I have given them to give in my name.
